Charles gave a seminar in Gothenburg at the CIIST (The Chalmers Initiative for Innovation and Sustainability Transitions) on October 10, 2019. The title was “Innovation policy for sustainability transitions”. In his talk he covered the following three related subthemes:
- Holistic innovation policy and the importance of sustainability objectives
- The recent experience of the Swedish National Innovation Council
- Functional public procurement for sustainable innovation: buying products which perform functions that provide solutions to problems described
